public/wiki-media/pesca-minijuego.gif When something bites, a minigame pops up that you have to beat or you lose the catch. It changes depending on where you cast:
- Ocean: keep the tension in the green zone.
- River and other waters: nail the click at just the right spot.
- Lava: hold down until the timer completes.
The rarer the fish, the harder it gets: if you fail, it escapes.
What you catch depends on where you cast your line:
- Water (Overworld): any pond, river or ocean. The ocean gives sea fish (jellyfish, octopus, pike…); rivers and lakes give river fish (carp, catfish, perch…).
- Lava (Nether): a reserved fishing ground. You need the Anzuelo de Lava (Lava Hook) (or the Caña Mágica magic rod) so your line can survive the fire. In return you catch impossible fish plus, as a bonus, quartz, blaze powder, gold or obsidian.
There are 50 fish with 3D models. Each one comes in three rarities —Común (Common), Poco común ✦ (Uncommon) and Raro ✦✦ (Rare)— plus two special fish. The better the rarity, the rarer the bite and the more it's worth. On top of that, every fish has a size in cm that raises its price, and the Anzuelo Pro hook improves your odds for the rare ones.
| Rarity | Base sell price | Size |
|---|---|---|
| Común | $125 (+$3 per cm) | 8–90 cm |
| Poco común ✦ | $350 (+$5 per cm) | 15–120 cm |
| Raro ✦✦ | $800 (+$9 per cm) | 30–160 cm |
| Special (Arcoíris, Radiactivo) | $1,750 (+$10 per cm) | — |
Hooks are equipped on your rod and change what you catch:
- Anzuelo de Lava (Lava Hook) — unlocks lava fishing in the Nether. Lasts 64 uses.
- Anzuelo Pro (Pro Hook) — boosts rarities (+2 to uncommon, +3 to rare). Lasts 32 uses.
Baits tweak your fishing: they make the minigame easier, cut down the wait, or make fish bigger (×1.5) for record-breaking.
And there's a legendary rod: the Caña Mágica (Magic Rod), an enchanted rod with an arcane gem that fishes in lava without needing the Anzuelo de Lava and lasts 750 uses. It's not sold in any shop: it only bites, very rarely (~1%), while fishing in the lava itself.
Hooks, baits and the Caña Mágica can't be bought: they drop while fishing, by pure luck. Keep casting and sooner or later they'll show up.
public/wiki-media/pesca-codex.gif /peces opens the Fishing Codex: the catalog of every fish with its biome, rarities and price. And from that same menu, with one click, you sell your catches on the market or store them in your fishing bag so they don't fill your inventory — no weird commands to remember.
Selling fish has a cap of $75,000 per day (resets at midnight).
If you fish with the Pescador (fisherman) job, you also get paid for every catch, on top of whatever you make selling it. It's the most profitable way to cast a line.
| Fish type | Job payout |
|---|---|
| Custom common | $75 |
| Custom uncommon ✦ | $210 |
| Custom rare ✦✦ | $480 |
| Special (Arcoíris / Radiactivo) | $1,050 |
| Vanilla (cod, salmon…) | $85–130 |
public/wiki-media/pesca-mini-boss.gif While fishing in rivers, lakes and other fresh waters there's a small chance (~1%) that, instead of a fish, the Esqueleto del Abismo (Skeleton of the Abyss), a mini-boss, comes shooting out of the water. On spawning it lets out a war cry and summons 4 allied skeletons (melee, archer, mage and elite).
It's a tough opponent with heavy knockback resistance, so bring good armor. Its appearance and its death are announced to nearby players.
Defeating it gets you:
- $1,500 straight to your account.
- 3–7 diamonds, 8–16 emeralds, 8–16 bones and experience.
- A single-use Atrapa Almas (Soul Catcher): captures a mob's soul so you can release it wherever you want (doesn't work on bosses, named mobs, pets or in other players' claims).
Bring backup if you can: the 4 minions spawn instantly.
On Saturdays and Sundays there's a fishing competition at 9:30, 14:30 and 20:00 (server time), each lasting 5 minutes (minimum 2 participants). Whoever catches the most fish wins; during the event everyone fishes 15% faster.
Prizes: 1st $200 · 2nd $100 · 3rd $100 · participation $10.
