PvP and combat
Combat on MineSpain uses classic 1. 8-style mechanics.
Combat on MineSpain uses classic 1. 8-style mechanics.
- PvP is only forced inside the arena (via /warp arena); the regular world is safe
- Classic combat: no attack cooldown, no sweep attack, sprint crits, golden apples with no cooldown
/warp arena Teleport to the PvP arena
Useful commands
The ones you'll probably use in-game.
/warp arena/tumbas public/wiki-media/pvp-combate-clasico.gif Classic 1.8-style combat, without the modern hit delay:
- No attack cooldown and no sword sweep.
- Sprint crits and classic knockback.
- Sword blocking (hold right-click).
- Golden apples with no cooldown, one after another.
- Fishing rod that matters: its hit knocks back (1 s between uses).
This applies in every PvP zone on the server.
The PvP arena is a world separate from regular survival: you fight freely without risking your land or your resources from the main world. Get there with /warp arena.
- PvP is enabled across the whole arena, except the entrance area (safe, so you can come and go without risk).
- You can't place blocks, open chests or fly inside.
- You have permanent night vision.
- New players get automatic protection for their first 10 minutes inside the arena. If you attack someone, that protection is lost instantly.
Heads up: if you die in the arena, no grave is created. Your items drop to the ground and anyone can pick them up.
Inside the arena there's a mine where you can break blocks (but not place them). It's a risk-and-reward zone: you mine resources while exposed to combat from any other player who walks in.
Tip: bring only what you're willing to lose. Since there are no graves in the arena, everything you drop on death is up for grabs.
When you attack another player or get attacked inside the PvP arena, you enter combat mode for 15 seconds. An on-screen indicator shows the time remaining and your opponent's name.
While you're in combat:
- If you close the game or disconnect, your character dies on the spot and your items are left on the ground.
- You can't teleport.
Important: the combat tag ONLY exists in the PvP arena. In the main world, the Nether and the End you can log off safely — there's no forced combat there.
The consequences depend on where you die:
- In the PvP arena: no grave is created. All your items drop to the ground. You respawn at the arena entrance.
- In the survival world (main, Nether, End): PvP is disabled by default. If you die for any reason, a grave holding your items is created for 30 minutes; track it down with
/tumbas. Only you can open it. - In dungeon zones: they have their own rules (see bosses).
Graves are explained in detail on their own page.
